Seeing the Invisible

When I give my testimony or tell people that I spent 14 years in the occult, 10+ of those years as a blood-pact Satanist, I get a lot of surprised looks. And when I divulge a bit more and explain some of my experiences with demons and demonic rituals I find that most people are intrigued and/or scared about the possibility of such things existing within the realms of the spiritual. I often tell people, with tongue in cheek, that I came to see and know God because I saw knew Satan first. On the surface there is some validity to this statement...however the reality is, Jesus Christ literally pulled me out of the clutches of Satan and his minions 4 1/2 years ago. On that fateful night, when I accepted Jesus Christ, I never again doubted the power and might of this awesome God I serve!
When I was a Satanist I had no doubts about the existence of entities outside our physical existence...outside the realm of flesh and blood. The reason I had no doubts was because I sought and summoned these demonic entities and they made their presence known to me. That being said, we Christians must press on in the Holy Spirit and draw close to God. For if we do not see beyond the visible, if we cannot touch that which is intangible, if we cannot hear that which is inaudible, if we cannot know that which is beyond knowing, then I have some serious doubts about the validity of our Christian experience!

1 Corinthians 2:9 (Amplified Bible) states:

But, on the contrary, as the Scripture says, What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed].

This is why Paul goes on to remind us that God has revealed these mysteries to us by the Holy Spirit. We as Christians need to stop trying to make the Holy Spirit our servant and begin to live in Him as the fish lives in the sea. When we learn to do this we will experience the riches and Glory of God which we know nothing of at this present time.
Is the power of God manifesting in your life?

  1. I praise God that He was able to pull you out of the clutches of Satan and mold you into such a wonderful follower of Christ. I am so blessed to be your wife and I see God working mightily in our lives. Awakening to the supernatural powers of God and exploring the promies He gave us through His Word has been the best thing that has happened in my life, and I'm so thankful to experience it with you!
