Ghosts, Demons, and the Paranormal

Holy Crap! Something touched me!
In recent years I have been utterly amazed at how much popularity paranormal TV shows have garnered. For it appears that America, and perhaps the world, has a hankering for Necromancy. Whether its Ghost Hunters, Ghost Hunters Academy, Ghost Hunters International, Ghost Lab, etc., etc…, there always seems to be enough ghostly goodness to satisfy even the most hardcore ghoul fetish. The few times I have watched these shows I found the idiocy level hovering around, or very near, critical mass. From the standpoint of comedy there is an element slapstick that cannot be denied. In one of the episodes of Ghost Hunters International, I watched five goofballs wandering around an abandoned building with infrared cameras tripping over their shoelaces, goosing each others butts, and then screaming, “Something touched my junk!”  The whole thing was so laughable that if someone was watching the show for anything other than comedic value I would check their pulse to make sure that they are among the living!

Not to be a supernatural killjoy but I have news for you folks…there are no ghosts. Now by ghosts I’m referring to the departed souls of once living human beings that people believe roam the earth slamming doors, opening cupboards, flushing toilets, and turning on faucets. The Bible says in Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed to men once to die, but after this the judgment.” It does not say that when we die we get to occupy the guest bedroom, or the attic, and play tricks on the living- a la “Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice!”

Before you tag me as a hardcore skeptic I want to say that I believe there are spiritual realms. These spheres consists of disembodied entities of various ranks and classes. The entities that occupy the spiritual realms have never been, nor will they ever be human. There are classes of entities within the demonic realm that can and will pose as the souls of departed human beings. This is often referred to as spirits occupying the shells of the dead. The most clear example of this involves people who have used Ouija boards and other methods of divination. These spirits tend to represent themselves as someone the diviner knows. Thus, it is very common for the novice to believe that he/she is talking to some dearly departed relative…But they are not…These spirits have an agenda. However their agenda is not to show up on paranormal ghost hunting shows and grab peoples buttocks.

When I speak of demons and the occult I do not speak lightly. I spent 14 years as a spiritual Satanist summoning and working with these types of entities. It is for this reason I feel the need to shed light on these so called ghost/paranormal shows. The power within the demonic realm revolves and feeds off of fear. And while I don’t really believe that these “ghost hunters” are coming across anything truly demonic, they are pushing people into the realms of fear and disillusionment where the foulest denizens of your worst nightmares exist. That is why I’m so grateful for the power and saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, who was able to literally pull me out of the pits of hell, and the abyss.

Oh by the way…when we die…we don’t become angels. Just thought I would throw that one out too.
